Mindfulness isn't just something beneficial for those who are struggling, it can also be helpful in achieving peak performance, as evidenced by the range of world class athletes and organisations that emphasise mindfulness as essential for their training and development.
Since leading University of Wales, Swansea Basketball to an undefeated season and Welsh Division One championship in 1998 I've been interested in how mindset matters.
I have been trained, certified and registered to teach Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for Life (MBCT-L) by the Oxford Mindfulness Centre. This is an 8 week course grounded in evidence based psychological science that also focuses on flourishing and the achievement of our potential beyond just symptom reduction.
See the Courses page for more details of this mindfulness based approach.
I can teach a 6 session Mindful Sport Performance Enhancement course in which the sport can be substituted with any performance based activity such as advocacy or public speaking for which a mindfulness based approach could enhance performance.
To find out more, book a taster session provided in person or online for any number of participants to see who I am and how I could help.
